I was 8 years old. That's pretty much all there is to say about that. I was enjoying all of the usual 8 year old things...catching snakes, turtles, frogs, etc. with my brother in the field by our house. Ond distinct memory that I have is catching a TON of snakes (baby ones and big ones) and then having snake races in our front yard with my brother. Another memory that Scott remembers quite clearly, but I must have blocked out for some reason is when we caught turtles and he was trying to have it kiss me, but instead it bit my nose really hard!! Okay, here's another great example of sibling love since we've started down this path of memory lane...around 1988 Scott and his friend thought it would be a good idea to knock down the wasp's nest that was in the corner of our large covered sandbox. So their great plan was to have me, a little girl who was always trying to impress her brother and his friends, go up to the nest with a bat/stick/something and try to knock it down. Well this story ends with the obvious, me screaming bloody murder and running into the house becasue I have been stung...luckily it was only one wasp and not an entire nest full of outraged flying insects with stingers that went after me. My best friend Lori and I would catch twiddle bugs (aka roly polys) and take turns keeping them at our houses each day. We would also compare how long our hair was and play games...for some reason I have very clear memories of playing memory at her house...man, I used to love that game...probably because I thought I was the best at it :-) I think it was around this time that we moved to a new house too...I was really excited about being in a new house and going to a new school.

I was about to graduate from high school. It does not seem that long ago, but I guess I'm getting to be an old lady whether I like it or not!! Then off to BYU. I had so much fun as a freshman at college. I was on my own and loving it!! All the introductory classes were pretty easy so far (none of the advanced stuff where you really had to work for your grade...like working on cadavers in anatomy...I loved that class, though, and ended up being good at memorizing all the body parts...thanks to all the memory practice with Lori!) and Jason and I started dating (the rest of that story is history!)

It was 2005. I would be graduating from the dance program at BYU in a couple of months. I was pregnant with Mayah...yes, I was dancing with my big 'ol pregnant belly and was quite a sight to behold! The winter olympics were also going on in Salt Lake City at this time and I was fortunate enough to be able to dance in an ongoing show at the Biathalon event. We performed in a wild west themed show every night for two weeks. The show also included a little girl who yodled, a family of trick ropers, a horse, and other random western themed "stuff". We danced for a sold out crowd each night...I was surprised that so many people would be interested in a corny wild west show, but I guess everyone from the other countries got a kick out of seeing some of the heritage/history of how the "wild west" used to be. I thought of posting a picture, but realized it would be too much work to actually find it (I didn't even have a digital camera then) and scan it in. You would have had a good laugh, though!

Mayah was 2 1/2 and we just found out that we were pregnant again! Yeah! (I think there is something about this time of year for us b/c all of our kids have been born, and thus concieved, within a 2 week period...Valentines Day anyone?? ha ha! Jason was finishing up his 3rd year of law school at the University of Michigan, which seems like just yesterday, and then it was off to Chicago. We made so many amazing friends while in law school and it was really sad to leave all that behind and enter the real world.
Today...
Jason jumped out of bed at 5am with an "Oh no! We're late!!" He had to get to the airport and fly to Colorado for Derek's bachelor's party. So, while Jason threw on some clothes I woke the kids up and piled everyone into the car. And just for the record I can get to the airport in under 10 minutes if I need to, and if there's no traffic in the wee hours of the morning. But, despite my stellar driving skills Jason still missed his flight due to overbooking and him being bumped because he was late. So it was back to the Bozzy household for us where Jason had the chance to shower and brush his teeth...I'm sure whoever sat next to him was very thankful for that!! I got the kids ready for the day and then it was off to the airport again. On the way home I made a stop at Target (I should buy stock), bought some things I didn't really need, then proceeded to home where I fed the kids lunch, had Mayah read me a chapter out of her book so I could record it on the reading log we are supposed to keep, had her put the finishing touches on her homework...then I loaded up the car with the kids AGAIN and drove Mayah to school.
Now Ava and Connor are asleep (and they will be for the entire 3 hours that Mayah is in school, I might add...lucky me) and I am blogging. I might read or take a nap too...I never clean or do anything productive during my "me" time. Selfish, I know. Oh, I do have to make a few calls reminding the primary kids at church about some things...I just recently got called as the primary secretary and it keeps me busy.
Later I will take Mayah (with the others in tow) to dance class, then I'll drop her off at a special Parent's Night Out event that her school is having where she'll enjoy all the pizza, movies, and socialization that a kid could want.
This year...
I hope to enjoy my kids being at the ages and stages they are at and I hope to slow down a little b/c writing this makes me realize how fast time goes by!!
I tag anyone who wants to do this...it really was fun reminising about the past 20 years of my life.

Ha ha, I LOVE the "Valentine's Day anyone!?" Ours is more, "Marc's birthday anyone!?"
I still can't believe how crazy you were dancing while pregnant. I couldn't believe it back then, and I still can't. I wish I felt up to dancing when I was pregnant! That's totally the last thing from my mind.
Hey Sandy!
I don't know if you remember me, but I was friends with Jason way back when. I think you two had just started dating. Anyway, I stumbled upon your blog today, and had to say hi. You guys have such a beautiful family! Hope you are doing well!
