Well, today was officially the last day of relaxing and sitting on the side of the pool for me. Before Connor was content simply playing on the stairs and not venturing too far away from me, but ever since Jason has been taking him to the pool he has gotten way more adventurous. He'll literally walk right up to the edge, laughing, and jump in...no matter if anyone is around to catch him or not. Yea, it's good that he's not afraid of the water, but still some fear of his life might be good. He will be walking on the pool stairs and keep going once it's well over his head, then when I pull him up he's still laughing and thinks it's hilarious. One good thing did come out of today though...I tried Mayah's old water wings on him to see if he would stay afloat or if he would just tip over face first into the water like he did in the beginning of the summer. He definitely liked bobbing in the water by himself and did a good job staying afloat. It was a great relief for me too because at least I can just relax in the water and not have a squirming kid in my arms who is trying to swim away all the time. His favorite thing to do in the water wings is lie on his back with his whole body straight and rigid and just look up at the sky.

Cute pictures! That makes me laugh about Connor ~ Gavin does the same thing! We let him walk into the pool and waited a few sec before getting him out...it scared him so he dosen't do that anymore. : ) Does that sound mean? That is great Connor actually keeps the floaties on...Gavin takes them off. Urggh! Happy swimming!!
I'm glad the cover-up fits Mayah so well. Looks like there's some growing room too. Connor looks MUCH happier in the Little Einsteins beach towel.
