"My boys"
When Mayah was 3 years old Kanga started showing up around our house on a regular basis. Kanga was (and on occasion, still is when Mayah is being particularly imaginative) our first introduction to the world of imaginary friends. When I was pregnant with Connor, Mayah was pregnant with Kanga. Soon after I had Connor, Kanga made her appearance into our family as a playmate for Mayah...crazy how fast imaginary friends can grow! Kanga continued to grow and mature...usually she was about 7 yrs old, but on some days she would be a teenager. While Kanga doesn't grace us with her presence on a regular basis anymore, Connor's "boys" have taken her place as our resident imaginary friend...or friends in this case. He calls them "My boys" and will say things like "My boys want to do such and such" or "My boys said such and such". Some particularly funny and cute things Connor has said in reference to his boys are: "My boys love me!" and "Ouch! My boys just poked my cheek", then 10 seconds later "Ouch! My boys just poked my other cheek!" Apparently his "boys" are still working on how to treat their friends :-) If I can think of any other funny references to his "boys" or if they make any other interesting appearances, I'll let you know.

That is too cute! It's amazing the things their little minds come up with. Gotta love 'em :)
That is too funny. I wonder if that means I am going to have 3 "imaginary" mermaids swimming around my house when I have this baby. Elle keeps telling me she has 3 mermaid babies growing in her tummy too. Hmm . . . I guess we'll find out soon enough!
