Metro Connor...

This morning Connor was looking through Mayah's bag of makeup (play, that is) and I explained to him how makeup is for girls and not for boys and that is why I wouldn't put it on for him. This is probably the 10th time I've had to teach him this little life lesson...he is very jealous of us girls when we are putting on our make up and accessories and I can't really blame him b/c it IS fun to get all girlied up. Well, tonight as I was putting Ava to sleep I noticed that the house was really quiet (Jason and Mayah are gone on a daddy daughter date) except for a few small noises coming from my bathroom. I had a slight panic attack as I thought that he might be getting into all of the Christmas presents b/c we have them hidden in the closet off of our bathroom, but when I walked into the bathroom I see Connor quickly trying to put away and hide Mayah's lip gloss, eyeshadow, and blush that he has been sneakily putting on. He just looks at me with his eyes all big and round trying to look innocent. He must not realize that, not only did I see what he was doing, but his blue cheeks, pink eye lids and glittery lips are betraying his "I'm innocent of whatever you think I might have been doing" look! I just made my eyes huge and pretended like I was about to bust him...then I bust up laughing...it was hilarious. He was still feeling kinda guilty though and just puckered his lips to show me how glittery they were. After my hysterics of laughter were over I told him again how makeup was for girls and not boys and he just said "well, I want to get some boy make up then". I don't think he is quite grasping the concept I am trying to teach.
