Ava Louise

First breaths...not so cute yet...

Their first peak at little sis.

You're out numbered now boys!!

Her feet are so tiny and cute!
(these pictures don't do them justice...they're much smaller and cuter)
Ava's hearing test

A room with a million dollar ocean view...nice huh?

Ava arrived into our not-so-small-anymore family this past Wednesday the 24th with no complications and has been the sweetest little angel ever since. Of course, she's only two days old as of now and is still pretty much sleeping the whole time, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll continue on this path...yea right!! I was induced Wed. morning and given my epidural right away so I was able to sleep until about 2:00 pm when I woke up and called in the nurse to tell her I was ready to push....and out she came at 2:13 pm...pain free, I might add!! I am definitely counting my blessings in this department b/c I didn't have an epidural with Mayah and I don't know if I would have had any more kids if I didn't know there was an epidural waiting for me at the hospital!! She weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. I was very surprised at how tiny she was because Connor was a whole 2 lbs bigger and 2 inches longer when he was born. It was such an amazing experience that has brought us all so close as a family. Connor and Mayah just adore her....Mayah is so sweet with Ava, constantly wanting to hold her, give her kisses, whisper baby talk into her ear, and a bunch of other lovey dovey stuff. Every time she is holding her or comes over to take a peak at her she'll say something like "oooh I just want to gobble her up!" or "she's just too adorable for words!" I'm not sure if Connor really "gets it" yet, but he is very curious about his new baby sister...always peeking at her and touching her really softly. Jason and I are in love with Ava and can't believe how well she already fits into our family, all we want to do is hold her, kiss her, smell her and look at her. Neither of us believe how small and doll like she is...we just want to eat her up :-) Grammy is here and has been an amazing help with the kids, I honestly don't know how I'm going to do it all when "real life" begins again!! I guess just take it one day at a time and try not to go insane along the way!! I can already tell it will be a major adjustment, but until that time I am completely relying on Jason and Grammy to take care of EVERYTHING.

On an even cornier note...I can't believe there is room in my heart to love another child this much. When I was pregnant with Connor I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to give him enough love because my heart was already so full and consumed with Mayah. And I was nervous about the same thing being pregnant with Ava. I am just amazed every time I look at her how much I already love her. My heart just breaks every time I watch her sleep and I almost get sad thinking about how fast she is going to grow up. Jason and I felt the same way when we had Connor, I guess it's because we know from experience that this precious new born time only lasts but a second in the scheme of things. Boo hoo!! I want my tiny baby Ava to stay like this forever!!

Congratulations, Sandy! You look beautiful for just having a baby, and Ava is gorgeous! I am so glad things went smoothly for you- we are so happy for your family! I loved reading about you being nervous about having another child to love- I felt like that so much and thought I was the only one! It's so weird how you just have so much love to go around but you do! Congrats again!

Congratulations! She is adorable, and so tiny. (Yeah for small babies and epidurals). Good luck with the new addition.

Congratulations. You're all beautiful! Here's one of my favorite Quotes: "I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love". Mother Teresa

Congratulations!!! Mom of three. That's awesome. I think it's cute that you're being corny. A good mom should! I hope everything keeps running as smoothly as it has been so far. Not fair on such an easy labor! The labor nurse wouldn't admit me until I was dialated to a 7! Urg.

Sandy! I love looking at pictures of all of you; you can feel the love. Such a great and blessed family. We are so excited for you and this little Ava, the name fits and we wish we were closer to nibble on her toes with you guys. By the way - you are WAY hot mom, but we already knew this.

SO FREAKING ADORABLE! So since I want a baby Ava and you look so good during pregnancy and after, how about I take the baby off your hands and you can just go have another one and name it Ava! Oh she's so cute! Now you've got me slightly craving a baby!
