We're still here

Yes, I am still here in the blogging world, just haven't updated in a while. I blame it on being busy, tired and just plain lazy. Jason was gone to New York this past week on a business trip so it was just me and the kiddos holding down the fort. I always hate when he leaves because I don't really have anything to look forward to in the evenings...no daddy/hubby coming home to entertain the kids and no adult conversation for me. It's especially bad in the summer since there is no good tv on - especially now that So You Think You Can Dance is over. Which, I must say I am happy with the results. Even though Danny was technically the "better" dancer...Sabra definitely had the more likeable personality to go with her amazing dancing. I was a bit disappointed with this season though, I was just hoping there would be some choreography that was as great as last year, but they did kinda make up for it in the finale, which ended up being a really good production. Now what am I going to do with my time on Wed. and Thur. evenings? Enlighten myself with some intellectual reading? Doubt it..I'll stick to my mindless mystery novels, thank you!

So while Jason was gone this week how else did we fill up our lonely days?? Why, shopping of course!! I've had a gift card from Ikea for a while and I thought this would be a good opportunity to outfit the kids playroom with some new toys and "stuff".

This chair not only spins super fast, but also has an orange shade that entirely encloses the "rider" in it...I'm sure all of you regular IKEA shoppers have seen them before. The kids are obsessed with it to the point where I fear I'm going to have to clean up vomit from the either the inside of the chair or my four walls if they get sick while spinning with the shade open. Mayah particularly loves luring Connor into and then making it go as fast as she can without it actually tipping over! They were spinning in it as we were talking on our webcam with my parents and bro and they all said it was making them nauseous just watching them go round and round!

Also, this week didn't go by without our usual trip to the beach so here are some pictures from that, nothing too eventful happened there, unless you call two run ins with an umbrella eventful...one falling on my head and one falling on poor little Connor man. But that's the way we like the beach - relaxing and UNeventful. Mayah's favorite part of beach day was playing soccer with the older kids.

I love your blog!!! How do you do all that? I can barely remember how to upload pics.:) Sad I know. I used to hate it when Jason was on call so much, but I have gotten so used to it that I actually sometime like it. It gives me a break from EVERYTHING!!! (and everyone:)).

I always love to read what is going on in the Bosworth household... I miss it! So read the vampire books that are a hit right now. I know you would LOVE them. I just finished the third, and there is another one coming next year sometime, hopefully. Anyway - the author's name is: Stephanie Meyer, and the first book is titled: Twilight. (2nd is: New Moon, and 3rd is: Eclipse.) You will have a good two weeks (probably less for you) of nights with these little mindless lovey dovey books. I loved them!

Sandi,

We missed you today. Things at the beach actually went quite well today and we stayed for four hours! The boys seemed to be learning beach etiquette a bit more than last week (less sand throwing).

My boys would have SO much fun on that chair. I'm sure they'd make each other sick.

I'm reading Twilight. Pretty fun to pick up mindless teen romances. :0)

Go get those books!!! You will not be able to put them down. I am obsessed with them. :) I read all of them in a few days. They are just so entertaining. Any good recommendations for a good read?
