One of the coolest things about being over here in Singapore is experiencing all of the different cultures and way of life for the many people that are gathered here. It has been so amazing to not only see this for myself, but to immerse my kids in it as well. I was able to go with Mayah's class on a field trip to Little India this past week. While we were there the kids had the task of buying a few things...a Deepavali card, a clay pot, and a peacock feather. They also ate at a local restaurant to try some Indian food (this is Jason's favorite type of food fyi). I didn't think the food would be the highlight of her field trip like it was for me, but she surprised me and really, really, really loved it!

The girls and moms had their hands painted with henna...

Here is Mayah painting her clay pot when she got back to school...

Sandy, you know you didn't have to go all the way around the world to experience India, you could have done it while living in Chicago, like we did. I'm just teasing, although we did experience India, just with Targets and other comforts of America!
You guys are always doing the coolest stuff!
Sandy,
Saw your blog on Facebook. Your kids are so beautiful. You are lucky to be spending time in Singapore. I'm sure you miss the states though. I love blogs. It is fun catching up on friends. Hope you and your family are doing well.
