Ava's chariot awaits...

I laugh my butt off every morning as the following scene unfolds. The video isn't as funny as what usually happens, but the kids never perform when you want them to! Maybe it's not as funny as I think it is (one of those you had to be there moments), but I thought it was worth documenting b/c I think it's hilarious!! Here is what you are not witnessing that happens each and every morning before the video - let me paint the picture for you...

Jason takes Mayah to the bus stop every morning at 7am while I stay in the apartment with Connor while he watches a morning cartoon and while Ava sleeps. Jason comes home and we lay on the couch together half sleeping half watching a cartoon w/ the Con-man. Ava begins to wake up and cry for us to come and get her. I say "Connor, will you please go get Ava?" Up until about a week ago this meant he would go in there and talk to her for a little bit while I worked up the energy to get my lazy butt off the couch and get her myself. And off he scampers with a "Sure mom!"

This is what he surprised us with a week ago and has since become part of the morning routine...(you can imagine our surprise when Ava came around the corner at top speed in this little chariot!)

The video is kinda long, but I was trying to get some of Ava wildly shaking the crib while standing up and screeching/laughing. It makes the entire crib look like it's about to fall apart...love the rent-a-crib...this is what she usually does while being wheeled out, which I think is the funniest part. Unfortunately she doesn't recreate this moment for you all so you'll just have to use your imaginations...I guess she wasn't up for performing this morning. I do love the multiple "uh-oh's" by Connor as he runs the crib into the walls and furniture though!

That is SO funny! What a good idea! I hope he doesn't try this when you guys move back home because I'm pretty sure you have some stairs there . . .

Sandy - This is too funny. It reminds me of a the time Drew "rearranged" the kid's bedroom early one morning. He was about 2 and Lindsay was probably 10 months old... Let's just say this - it involved a crib with wheels too and a broken lamp, and Sis eating a light bulb... I THOUGHT it was weird that they were being so quiet. The kids are adorable and the pictures are GREAT!! You're such a trooper Sandy - it looks like you and the kids are having a great adventure!

Love Ya - Kelly

P.S. Sheesh Jason! I can't believe the hours you're keeping, no wonder the "neighbors" are talking! Seriously, I'm worried about you, YOU too Sandy - Hang in there guys. Take care of yourselves.
