You've gotta try this...

Okay moms with boys who love trains...I have a good one for you. Tonight as I was doing our bedtime routine I had this great idea that before Connor and Mayah got into bed I would let them drive some trains around on my back....one word...heavenly!! Man, why hadn't I thought of this a long time ago?? The kids were having so much fun for the longest time and who was I to break up their fun?! I think this works especially well at bedtime because they are willing to do anything to stay up just a little later. Mayah finally wanted in on the action so I set up a train driving chain. I think I'll call it the "train chain". And let me just say that the train chain has just won it's way into our bedtime routine for good. Selfish me set the chain up so that I was permanently in the middle and Connor and Mayah would switch being in the front having mommy drive the train on their backs. As a side note Mayah is by far the better back train driver (Connor was too worried about getting new trains to try out on the back). This just supports my theory that girls are waaaay better back scratchers/massagers than guys. However, Jason is an exception to that rule...he has learned (through much instruction by me) the craft. I kind of have to say that if I ever want him to be so kind again...right :-) So the train chain then progressed to an even more brilliant idea of mine...me lying face down on the floor and Connor using my limbs and body as train tracks. I finally had to convince him (and myself...I could have stayed there for hours) that it was time to go to bed. Of course he would only give up his new found game with the promise that we could resume tomorrow...ummmm okay by me!! Maybe I'm the only one who hasn't been using my "resources" to their fullest, but just in case, I thought I would pass the word along...always looking to help out another mom in need :-) Oh, I would also suggest the game of "beauty salon" Mayah is very into that one and who doesn't like having their hair played with...Jason and I will sometimes fight over who gets to be the lucky one to have their hair "done".
