It wouldn't feel like Christmas without a ton of cookies and yummy treats hanging around the house! Jason's been bugging me to make some cookie cutter sugar cookies with frosting just like momma Boz would always make so, of course, I had to whip up a batch...like I needed any real "bugging"! I'm always the one in the house asking if anyone wants me to make cookies :-) Mayah had so much fun as the designated cookie cutter and taste tester (well, we all got in on that job!) I got a little creative with one batch and added a little coloring and mint (better withOUT the mint by the way) to the dough then used a pen cap as a punch to cut holes in the cookies where the ornaments would go. As a side note...we bought Mayah two pairs of these Christmas Pajamas that she's wearing in these pictures a while ago. They are the footie ones with a zipper. They are all she wants to wear to bed every night, which isn't too much of a problem considering I do a ton of laundry nowadays. I do one if not two loads each day! ahhhh! Then the clean clothes pile up for a few days until I force myself to fold it...my two least favorite chores?? Folding laundry and emptying the dishwasher. My mom will agree to the dishwasher one...that was my "job" as I was growing up and I despised it...poor, poor teenage Sandy! So my hatred for unloading the dishwasher has followed me into adulthood. So while my mom was here after Ava was born for three weeks I gave her the job of dishwasher unloader. Payback for my teenage years :-) Just kidding, she took on that job herself and did it willingly because she knows how I despise it.
