7 years baby!!

Today was our 7 year anniversary...has it really been that long already? I remember when we were newly married and I would hear someone say that they've been married for 7 years, or somewhere around there, and I would think "man they must have it all figured out by now" or "wow, they must be really old!" Well, we're definitely getting up there in years that's for sure. Time has just flown by for us these past 7 years...lots of firsts and new beginnings. That's a good thing though...we're having the time of our lives. Don't worry I won't get too sappy :-) But I do have to say that I love Jason so much and I don't know what I would do without my best friend to hang out with every day of my life. I'm a lucky, lucky girl to be so in love with my best friend!!

We are off to Michigan early in the morning tomorrow so we decided to open a couple Christmas presents today then head out to the beach after church to celebrate our anniversary together as a family. Mayah and Connor got a kite to fly at the beach. We had some high hopes, but there just wasn't enough wind. A+ for effort though. Jason didn't want to give it up...I guess he couldn't stand not being able to achieve his goal...typical Jason :-) So I finally pulled the plug on the whole kite flying thing and we settled on a georgous walk on the beach instead.

The first thing Connor did was eat his jelly sandwhich...resulting in a sand moustache the entire time we were there.

The kite would finally get up in the air, but as soon as we got all excited about it it would take a nose dive down toward either Connor or Mayah and peg them right in the head!!
