I was sitting here at the computer listening to Mayah, her friend, Nina, and Connor running around in the playroom when all of a sudden the house started jumping!! The earthquake registered as a 5.8 and originated a little north of us in LA. That was such a weird feeling....Mayah is still a little shaken up by it and even insisted on eating her lunch in the doorway. Jason called me right after it happened. When he called he was on his way down the staircase of his office building (I guess it seemed like a great time to go out and get some lunch!!). He said the people in his office were saying that this was the biggest earthquake they've ever felt in this particular high rise. Jason said it felt like he was in a big boat swaying back and forth...scary! Hopefully there won't be any after shocks...
**As a side note I've been majorly out of commission in the blogging world lately because of all the company we've had at our house this past month. My mom was here for 3 weeks and then the day she left we had Jason's family (a total of 18 people) come to stay at our house for a little reunion action. It was a ton of fun, but as can be expected we were all crazy busy. So I have lot's of stuff to post about, but I'm sure it'll take some time to get it done. I think I'm just going to chill for a little bit and enjoy doing nothing :-) I do have to admit that it is lonely around here with Jason back at work and no family to keep me company.

Glad to hear that you're all OK. Thanks for putting up the post so quickly! Worried about you hereabouts in MN. Love, Cathy
