For Memorial Day weekend we drove out to AZ to visit John, Becki and the girls...I was also lucky enough to get together with Jamie for an encore breakfast at Mimi's, I love that they live in the same city so I get in two great visits for the price of one!! We had a blast hanging out, going to the zoo, swimming, eating huge bowls of ice cream every night :-), listening to John and my tone deaf voices trying to carry a tune while playing Singing Bee, and having Becki school me at Dance Dance Revolution (we ARE having a rematch in July, Becki, Jason's already looked into buying it for his Xbox...and you know I'm going to have all the dances memorized by then! Consider yourself warned.). Here are some pictures from the weekend...of course I didn't capture any of the good, funny stuff like the Singing Bee or Dance Dance Revolution, but these will have to do...
Ava also learned some new tricks on the vacation...rolling to where she wants and sitting up (hasn't quite mastered this one, but is getting there...I definitely wouldn't leave her sitting by herself yet b/c a face dive is almost guaranteed at this stage!). Her new favorite phrase is "dadadadadada" so, as can be expected, Jason is very proud.

As much as our stroller is a part of our family, we are actually just trying to get Ava in the pic without waking her up.
What a cute litte family :-) and if you look closely you can see some goats on the top of the mountain in the background (on the right).
The kids made these boats and had a boat race in the pool.
The zoo was really fun...I've never been to a zoo where you were as up close and personal with the animals as this one...they even had a monkey area where you could literally walk on a path with the monkeys right there within arms reach playing in the trees.
Lauren (in purple) hates bugs. She would get right up in the goats faces and pet them, but if a tiny harmless fly came around to land on the goat she was outta there!! I'm with you on that one Lauren, flys are gross!

WHHHHHHHAAT? You and Jamie got to go back to Mimi's for breakfast again? Ohh I'm soooo jealous. I'm jealous that you guys got to get together again AND I'm SO jealous that you ate at Mimi's.
Very fun. I totally understand about the blogging laziness. That has been the story for me the last month. But my mom keeps pestering me and I have to update. :) I am glad you did!!!
