Disneyland here we come...

Since we were spending Christmas in Michigan this year Jason and I were trying to think of a gift that would be small enough to fit in the suitcases and something the kids would really love. Well, what kid wouldn't love being able to visit Mickey and friends 365 days a year?? We finally broke down and did the southern California thing...annual passes to Disneyland. We went for the first time this past Thursday and had a blast. On the way Connor kept asking to go to "Mickey's ouse" (Mickey's house) It was so fun seeing him get his picture taken with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. He's at that age where he still thinks they are the actual characters. He ran right up to Mickey and Minnie and gave them big hugs...the look in his eyes was priceless. You can kind of see it if you blow up the pictures below. He was like that the whole time we were there...wide eyed and trying to take it all in. I still remember taking Mayah to Disney World at about 2 and a half and how magical it was. I can't wait to relive that with the Con-man. Ava was perfectly content hanging out in her sling the entire time (she's the big black lump I'm carrying in the pictures). It's so nice that she loves that thing because then I can focus more on making sure Connor isn't running off in the opposite direction every second I turn my back.

So after school on Thursday I surprised Mayah with a "how would you like to go to Disneyland....right now??" She, of course, screamed and gave an ecstatic YES! The best part about the the annual passes is that we can go for a few short hours at a time...thus resulting in 1) limited grumpiness (parents and children included) 2) Only happy memories of Disney (b/c of limited grumpiness) 3) we don't have to rush around from one thing to the next b/c we know we can come back and do other stuff next time, and 4) I can use it as a threat if the kids are acting up..."We won't be going to Disneyland if you guys keep it up!!" I'm sure you all can picture it :-)

Mayah tried on all the ears in the store and had me take pictures to help her decide which ones looked the best.

These are the ones she decided on...very cute!

I am so jealous. I would love a warm climate right now. I bet you didn't miss the snow when you were back in Michigan for Christmas- it is bitter cold here! Your kids get cuter by the day!
