Is this a new post you are seeing? Could it possibly be true? Well, the answer is...kinda. I don't really have anything too dramatic to post and I feel totally overwhelmed about all that I should have blogged about over the past couple of months, but didn't...so I am just going to start small and start with today :-) That way I won't stress about it...because to be honest I've been wanting to get back in the blogging "mode" for about a month now, but haven't because it just seemed like too big of a task ~ I'm a nut case...I know. Anyways, I decided to jump on the blog spur of the moment tonight because I was laying in bed with my kiddos a few minutes ago and they said some funny things and I thought to myself "these are the kinds of moments I need to write down so I don't forget them...and I know there have been a ton since I've last posted, but better late than never at catching the cute and funny little things they say, right?" It's probably the speed at which I see them all growing before my eyes that made me jump on the blog tonight ~ so sad ~ and I don't want to forget a moment.
Connor's conversation with me tonight:
Me: Tell me all about your day at school today...who would you say are your best friends?
Connor: Lizzy, Conner and Jake. I was on the playground today just sitting by myself at the bottom of the equiptment and Lizzy came up to me and said "What's wrong?" and I told her "I just want to make a new friend." Then she said to me "Well, you can be my friend." and I said "Yes."
Is that not the cutest thing ever? At first I was kind of sad because I pictured him sitting all alone and sad because he felt like he had no friends so I asked him if he was sad when he was sitting there and he said "No, I was just sitting around." Which made me feel soooooo much better! Isn't that every parents worst nightmare? That your kid will be sad because they don't feel like they have any friends?
Ava's conversation with me tonight:
Immediately after the above conversation I hear Ava lying in bed mumbling something about boys and girls so I roll over to her and snuggle up and ask her if she's a boy or a girl. I think I caught her off guard because I know she knows the answer, but this is what I got...
Me: Ava are you a boy or a girl?
Ava: Bbb...princess.
Me, Connor and Mayah cracking up...
Me: Are you a boy or a girl though?
Ava: I'm Ava. I'm a princess.
And the best part is that she is totally serious when she says this. Oh, another new & funny thing I've caught Ava saying over the past couple of days was to Bennett when he was doing something that she deemed to be naughty...like getting her toy or sippy cup or something really serious like that...All of a sudden I would hear her yell "Bennett Louise!!" and see something being yanked away from him. I could only laugh ~ we all know who's middle name is Louise ~ too funny. And the final little Ava nugget was said to me two days ago...here's the context...she was trying to get me to get her a treat out of our treat jar...she says "Pleeeease...Sandy, I'll be your best fwend." You know she's pulling out all the stops when she promises to be your best fwend.
Okay so that is my post. You don't know how much it KILLS me to put up something without a picture to accompany it!!! So I am just going to hit the PUBLISH button before I over think it ;-)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Your number one stalker is so happy that you are back on the blog! It has been too long with no posts and I have been missing you guys! But, I can't nag you, since I am even more negligent with my blogging. Miss you! xoxo
Wait a minute! I'm your number one stalker! I am so glad to hear from you on your blog. I sat here and laughed out loud so hard about what Ava said. "Ava Louise you little stinker!" "Bennett Louise" - that is so cute! I love the story about Connor and his new little friend! He's just too cute to not have any friends - he'll always be the best friend one could have :)
Glad you're back. I know what you mean about the little hiatus. Me too, it seems. Those were sweet and hilarious little snipits. So cute.
