At the PUNKIN' patch...

We went to our local farm a couple of times this past week for some fall fun. The kids and I went alone the first time and had so much fun that we made sure to go again when Daddy was available. They have a petting zoo, wagon rides, corn maze, hay maze, veggie picking, pumpkins being shot out of a cannon, and of course the pumpkin patch. They also have strawberry and watermelon picking...I'll f0r sure be going back to do some of that ~ yum!
Ava was, and still is, in love with this little pumpkin. She was hugging it the entire time we were there...and still enjoys carrying it around the house. Can't blame her, it is a pretty cute little punkin'. Connor and Mayah had fun kicking the rotted out, green fuzzy pumpkins...

Good thing Daddy was there to push Ava and the pumpkin around in the wheelbarrow! I was not about to even try. BTW this is Ava's cheese face, or should I say grimace? I think every child goes through the stage of smiling for the camera by saying "cheeeeese" in a way that is just not that cute!! I think Connor still does it too, that's why I always try to get them in more "natural" poses :-)

Despite this terrified look on Ava's face she LOVED feeding and petting the animals in the petting farm. She would give the animals a few "pats" then run over to me laughing so hard. I was nominated as the lucky one to enter the animal area with the kids. Neither Jason and I are fans of the nasty animals and their poo. I made sure we hit those hand sanitizers asap when we were done!
